Hello, and welcome to my blog!

This blog was created to showcase some of my crafting designs.  Most of what you see will be photos with descriptions.  I make and sell cards and baby blankies.  The "blankies" have ribbon tags on them.  Babies LOVE to play with tags and they love the different textures of fabric the blankies are made of.

I also design flower arrangements for special occasions, holidays, and everyday events!  This year I have been privileged to make flowers for five weddings.  I've designed everything from succulents, to wildflowers, to roses..... and beyond! My floral designing started in June 2010, when my daughter got married.  We wanted nice flowers, but couldn't afford the price tag.  Inspired by a friend who did her sister's wedding, I designed bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements for my daughter's wedding.  I loved the results, so I decided to take a floral class.  Since then, I have taken several floral design classes, learned new things, and provided flowers for many of my daughter's friend's wedding so that we can help them have nice flowers at an affordable price.  I'm happy to say that my daughter, Stacy, helps with the weddings.  She is my apprentice.  She enjoys learning new things and it helps her out a bit financially.

I started scrap booking in 1994 and moved on to card making as well.  I have been blessed to have been an instructor and a member of design teams at several scrapbook stores in San Diego over the years. I have also had several of my pages featured in Memory Makers Magazine and at the Del Mar Fair.  I caught the digital scrapbook bug, so paper scrap booking is rare for me now.  Since I have collected SO MANY supplies, I started making cards.  I had been asked by several friends to sell my cards, so here I am!

The "blankies" came when my granddaughter, Elise, joined the family in 2013.  Having taken care of many little ones for my friends, I learned that kids love to play with their blankies! (Thank you Eli for being my main research over the years!) I saw a "Taggie" blanket and decided to try one on my own.  To my surprise, it worked!  Several friends have asked me to make and sell them, so here I am!

I not only sell to individuals, but I will be selling my crafts at several craft boutiques this year.

So that's my story!  If I can bless you by creating something for you, whether it be a blankie, a set of cards, a flower arrangement, or a full-on wedding, just let me know!

Susan
